At Christopher Robin, we believe children are capable, competent learners who thrive through meaningful relationships, play, and exploration.
Guided by Te Whāriki, our programme is child-led and responsive to children's interests, strengths, and ideas. We carefully observe, scaffold, and extend learning while creating a warm, home-like environment where every child feels a strong sense of belonging.

We understand that starting at a new early childhood centre is a big transition for both children and families.
We recommend at least two settling visits before your child's first day and encourage families to take the process at a pace that feels right for them. During the early days, parents are welcome to stay while their child becomes familiar with the environment and teaching team.
Our teachers work closely with families to follow home routines wherever possible, helping children feel safe, secure, and confident as they settle into life at Christopher Robin.
Children's wellbeing is our highest priority.
If your child is unwell, we ask that they remain at home to help prevent the spread of illness. Families are encouraged to let us know as soon as possible if their child will be absent.
We work closely with families to support children's health needs, administer medication safely when required, and maintain a healthy environment where everyone can learn and thrive.
Every child has their own routines, and we work closely with families to provide consistent, individualised care throughout the day.
We support children's sleep routines, provide freshly prepared meals, encourage independence during daily care routines, and work alongside families during important milestones such as toilet learning.
Our goal is to create a calm, nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, secure, and cared for.
Every child has an online learning portfolio where families can follow their child's learning journey.
Teachers regularly share learning stories, observations, photographs, and children's voice, celebrating their interests, achievements, and development.
Children also have a physical portfolio at the centre to showcase their artwork and creative projects. Families are encouraged to contribute to their child's learning, helping strengthen the connection between home and the centre.

Notification: Parents/caregivers should notify the center as soon as possible if their child will be absent, preferably before the day begins.

What age children do you cater for?

We are open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.Do you provide meals?
Yes. Freshly prepared meals are provided each day. Babies starting solids and children with specific dietary requirements may bring food from home.Do you offer 20 Hours ECE?
Yes. Children over three years of age are eligible for up to 20 Hours ECE funding. We're happy to explain how this works when you enquire.Can I visit before enrolling?
